These may be tours of local sites such as area churches and the vacated prison or may be talks by local historians. Social hours are included to welcome new members and guests.
Historic Preservation Month
May is National Historic Preservation month. In conjunction with this celebration HCJ sponsors special programs and tours. Each year HCJ sponsors an Art and essay contest for local youth to encourage appreciation for our historic buildings and heritage. HCJ partners with the Historic Preservation Commission in presenting the annual Designated Landmark Awards.
